As of 10pm today (Jan. 6th, 2012) thirty-four people have registered. That’s a phenomenal increase.

A few people have asked me why create a Registry? According to Ontario’s public health department there are approximately 100
people that suffer from Lyme Disease in Ontario. Because these statistics
have remained relatively constant over the past couple of years the Ontario
government has not made Lyme Disease a priority. In order to be counted in
public health’s statistics one must have a positive ELISA as well as a
positive Western Blot. Only tests administered in Ontario are considered
reliable. Any one that does not meet the government’s criteria is not
counted.

The members of The Richmond Hill Lyme Support Group believe that there are significantly more
people that are affected by Lyme Disease. Without collecting our own data
we do not know how many people there might be.

To be CONFIDENTIALLY counted simply e-mail me your name & address at: josephine@danceintherain.ca.
